About EQSC

eqscglobal.com

Education Quality Standards Consortium, known as EQSC, is a non-governmental education quality business operated globally through HERA LLC in the USA, and specifically by Ivy InnovatEd in England and Wales, and HERA India in India. EQSC Global is the public brand presentation used on eqscglobal.com.

We work with engineering and management higher education institutions to examine the quality of education they provide and the evidence behind their claims. Our work combines sector research, institutional membership, confidential assessments, commissioned consultancy and voluntary private recognition.

We publish for an international audience and apply requirements that are clear about the scope, discipline and context being assessed. We do not represent our company registrations as government approval of our framework or recognition system.

Objective & Principles

EQSC’s core objective is to provide a structured, commercially sustainable system for evaluating and improving education quality, focused on engineering and management higher education. Through a published framework, we help institutions identify strengths and gaps, examine whether teaching, assessment and student support deliver promised outcomes, and give leadership teams practical findings, benchmarks and improvement priorities. Our research supports decisions about education, employment and institutional development, while our independent, voluntary and time-limited recognition applies only to a verified scope supported by a public record that students and employers can check.

Mission Statement

We help education institutions turn their student commitments into measurable quality using clear standards and independent reviews. Our research and assessments provide practical evidence that schools, departments and programmes can use to strengthen learning and confidently substantiate their public quality claims.

Vision Statement

An education sector where quality is demonstrated through what institutions deliver, what students learn and how both improve over time. Through transparent, published methods, EQSC seeks to make institutional quality claims credible and verifiable for leaders, students, families and employers.

Our Business Principles

We use clear, evidence-based reviews with upfront requirements and transparent, written decisions. Our membership, advisory services, and recognition outcomes operate independently:  fees cover the process, not a specific result.

Why Consortium

The name describes the professional collaboration we seek with institutions, reviewers, researchers and project partners. Membership is a contractual service relationship; it does not confer ownership, shares, voting rights or governance authority.

Governance & Impartiality

EQSC’s governance keeps recognition decisions independent of commercial interests, with clear responsibilities at every stage. Declared interests, conflict checks and separate review, decision and appeal roles support fair, evidence-based outcomes.

1

Separate Roles, Clear Responsibilities

The Recognition Office administers the pathway separately from membership sales. Baseline Reviewers assess readiness, while Verification Panels test evidence; neither participates in the next decision stage for the same institution.

2

Independent Recognition Decisions

The Recognition Committee makes decisions with written reasons. Directors oversee the legal and commercial business, but management cannot replace the committee’s decision with a commercial preference.

3

Declared Interests, Managed Conflicts

Reviewers and committee members declare interests on appointment, annually and before each assignment. Relevant employment, financial interests or recent institutional advice trigger exclusions; outcome-linked pay and institutional gifts are prohibited.

4

Fair Appeals & Ongoing Oversight

An Appeals Committee considers eligible challenges without the original reviewers or decision makers. Institutions may raise reasoned panel conflict objections within five working days, and an Impartiality Monitor reviews risks annually.
